Artifacts
At times gritty and earthy, at other times rhythmic and anything but etherial, this collection of recordings twists and morphs the sounds of a Yamaha AN200 drum/bass sequencer module. The AN200 is a cool box, I wish I still had it.
The processing includes simple techniques such as ring modulation, delays, and filters as well as more computationally extensive methods such as granular resynthesis and convolution. The processing used on the CD was done in Max/MSP. The album contains 4 tracks for a total of 46 minutes of music.
